PET CALENDAR CONTEST
Periodically, Denise Duriga Photography partners with various non-profit organizations to host a pet calendar fundraising contest. All proceeds from the entries, votes and calendar sales go directly to the non-profit.
To date the fundraising contests have raised over $18,000.
PAST PARTNERS
The Pets N Vets Program of Dunes Dog Training Club, Inc. began in 2012 as a result of our Northwest Indiana Veterans with PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injuries needing assistance with obedience training their dogs for better companions, emotional support, therapy, and service dogs.
Qualified dogs in our Pets N Vets Program are trained at “no cost” to the Veterans.
In the past 12 years, approximately 200 Veterans have attend our Pets N Vets Program. Veterans who do not qualify for Pets N Vets can receive half price training in our regular dog obedience classes.
The all volunteer Dunes Dog Training club is an IRS 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization and AKC Dog Obedience Club who have helped people train their dogs since 1954.
NWI K9 Search and Recovery (SAR) is a 501(c)3 IRS recognized, non-profit, charitable organization. They are comprised of all volunteer K9 Handler Teams dedicated to locating missing persons. Their primary focus is Human Remains Detection, and they partner with other search agencies to provide the most thorough asset base possible for each situation.​​
Their K9 Teams adhere to national standards of training and operational procedures. They hold nationally recognized certifications and attend national training seminars in all aspects of Search and Recovery annually.
​NWI K9 SAR responds to requests from Law Enforcement, Fire and Emergency Management Services with authority over the incident. They do not charge for their services, and are available year-round.
